Infant mortality rate has decreased significantly over the last two decades, but it is still far too high. In 2013 more than 4.6 million infants died before the age of one. In Afghanistan and Chad thirteen per cent of infants born die within the first year.

Yesterday Mikael Damberg, the Swedish Minister for Enterprise and Innovation visited London for talks with his colleague Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills. The talks centered on the creation of a connected digital single market and TTIP i.e. the trade agreement that is being negotiated between the European Union and the United States.
