Recently, the finals of the world cooking contest and the world pastry cup, Bocuse d’Or and Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie, were held in Lyon, France. Sweden took silver with Sebastian Gibrand and his team.
His roasted rack of veal stuffed with calf’s liver and duck’s liver was an homage to the Nobel Prize.
“With my cooking, I want to honour the Nobel laureates through the ages for their fantastic discoveries and hard work. With these people in mind, I have prepared the dish of my life for the Bocuse d’Or. Here we have physics, economics, chemistry, culture, health and, not least, diplomacy. A meal is a symbol of peace,” said Mr Gibrand ahead of the competition.
